We want to bring a proper strength & social gym to Huntingdon — serious powerlifting and bodybuilding kit, a protein and coffee bar, pool tables, and somewhere you'd actually want to stay. Before we build it, we want to hear from you.
Not open yet — this is us gauging interest. Your answers shape what gets built.
Strength. Purpose. Community.
The Den was created from a simple belief: training should be about more than just equipment.
We're building Huntingdon's specialist strength gym for people who want to train with purpose, push their limits and become part of a genuine community.
Whether you're chasing a new deadlift PB, stepping onto a bodybuilding stage, improving your health or simply looking for a gym where people know your name, The Den is being built with you in mind.
This isn't another commercial gym.
It's a place where serious training meets an atmosphere that keeps you coming back.
From our equipment selection and gym layout to our social spaces and member experience, your feedback is helping us create a gym that Huntingdon deserves.
This is your opportunity to help build something different from day one.
Most gyms make you pick a side: hardcore and grim, or shiny and soft. The Den is meant to be both halves of a good day — a serious training floor and a proper place to hang about — under one roof, on one membership.
Calibrated plates, competition bars and comp-spec racks. Real space for powerlifting and bodybuilding — not a token corner of a leisure centre.
Real coffee, honest shakes, decent seats and a pool table. The bit that turns a workout into an evening and a gym into a local.
This is the look we're going for — matte-black kit, warm lighting, room to move, and a den you don't want to rush out of. The exact fit-out depends on the space we land, and on what you tell us matters most.
The plan for the floor is simple: lay it out for people who actually lift. Calibrated kit, comp-spec platforms, and enough plates that you're never stood around waiting for a pair of 20s. Powerlifting and bodybuilding both get real estate.
Racks, benches and platforms with calibrated plates and comp bars for the big three.
Plate- and pin-loaded stations for every muscle group. Hypertrophy has a home.
Sound-dampened deadlift platforms so you can pull heavy without wrecking the floor.
Bikes, rowers, sleds and a stair climber for finishers, warm-ups and off-season.
Push through from the floor and it changes gear: warm light, decent seats, a bar pouring proper coffee and honest shakes, and a couple of pool tables. Come to train, stay because it's a good place to be.
Post-lift protein, proper espresso, and a few things worth ordering even if you didn't train. Made fresh, made properly.
Nothing's fixed yet — tell us what you'd want stocked in the survey.
Full-size tables, cues on the wall, winner stays on. The unofficial heart of the place.
Fast Wi-Fi, sofas and a long bench with plugs. Answer a few emails, meet a mate, kill an hour.
Socials, meet-ups and the odd competition night. A crowd that spots you and knows your name.
Premium strength and bodybuilding equipment.
A dedicated powerlifting area.
Fresh-made protein milkshakes.
A welcoming social lounge.
Pool table, premium vending and member events.
Partnerships with physio and sports therapy professionals.
An environment where everyone — from first-time lifters to experienced competitors — feels welcome.
Not just physical strength, but the discipline to become better every day.
Every workout, every improvement and every member has a reason for being here.
The Den is about people. We believe friendships, encouragement and shared goals create stronger athletes and a better gym.
There's nothing to pay and nothing to sign. The whole thing comes down to numbers — enough people asking for it, on paper. Here's exactly how The Den gets built, and where you come in.
Two minutes, no sign-up, nothing to pay. Tell us what you'd actually want out of a gym in Huntingdon — the kit, the hours, the lot.
Start it now →Pass it to anyone local who lifts — training partners, the group chat, your gym mates. Every extra voice makes the picture harder to argue with.
This is the number that changes everything. Two hundred replies stops being an opinion and starts being evidence — proof that Huntingdon actually wants this.
Real demand figures are what a lender wants to see. That same evidence gets landlords to take a call about the right unit.
Kit goes in, the bar goes up, the lights go on. Built around what you asked for — because you're the reason it exists.
All it costs you is two minutes. Start at step one →
Tell us what a Huntingdon gym should actually have — the kit, the hours, the price, the little things. If enough people want it, we build it. Simple as that.
But the journey has already begun. Register your interest and you'll get progress updates, behind-the-scenes content, chances to shape the gym, and priority access to Founding Memberships when we launch.
The survey is where the real input happens — what you'd want from a gym like this.
Take the 2-minute survey →Thanks — we've got it, and we read every one. If you haven't done the survey yet, that's the one that really counts.
